Well, after a few months of scores in my league being at least 120 or so and below I brought my team down from in the realm of 5th place and up there down to 15. The week before superbowl, we leagued but our facing team was not there that night, whether they pre or post bowled were not sure, but Josh's girlfriend Amber, told us how many point we need to win. We barely got a little over 514 to win the first game, and altogether won 2 games out of the 3 that night, so we beat that team. And I was under the impression by what Amber said that even though we won we would be stayin in 15th and moving up, but Just this Sunday We beat the team we played all 3 games as we were in 12th place for position round, and I felt good, not on the 119 the first game game, but on the 149 the next game and somewhat on the 128 which was at least a little above my 125 average. Now I can't wait to go practice before next sunday so I have my batter scoring down hopefully.
My games tonight
![]()
Well I went and bowled up to 6 games tonight because I happened to be near my friends and all together I calculated my average to be a 155. usually if it's 150 or higher from all my games, I'm happy. i would've had my 8th 200 yesterday with my first of 3 games being a 194, cause if I'd gotten my spare and that last strike in the 10th frame I would've but I threw my 8th 200 game that last game of 3. I threw a 201, and out of my 6 games tonight I threw my 9th 200 game now, a 210(using my lovely Storm T-Road Solid). Just beautiful, and I am happy. Loving this sport more and more every day.
The New Sure Fire
My new Storm Sure Fire is awesome, and works great. It helped me on my 3rd or 3 games and grab my 8th 200 game(a 201).It's beautiful and totally awesome.
Getting Better
I'm takin into account the 3 things are helping me out so much with keeping my average up and making me more comfortable at getting more strikes.
1. I've kind of adopted holding the ball like professional Chris Barnes cause it helps me keep my ball on my side, and when I bring my arm forward to aim at my mark my arm stays straight through. If I ever throw it out, it's only a mess up of about 2 or 3 boards, which is almost never too much to me, and I hardly ever cross up.
2. holding the ball at an angle for a release which get my ball right in the pocket when I do hit my mark. I was told that by Josh's dad Bobby.
and 3. Staying more lined up with my mark when needed too which lets me hit my mark way easier when my arm is brought forward to aim. That peice of sense hit me as understandable when Josh told me that.
Figuring stuff out.
Last Wednesday night I bowled 2 different times. I bowled 2 games buring mid day, and I kind of tried some things. 1. holding the ball in a way that keeps it on the side, and with a nice straight forward swing connected with my mark. 2. practicing and getting down a nice smooth walk up timing my mark aiming by bringing my ball out on my second step. 3. And of course making my sure my hand is always in it's proper angle for realease. I bowled 2 games during that mid day session and actually got a 165 for what felt like no problem to do cause my angled release worked out well for me along with getting quite a few strikes which felt easy and then hitting my 7th 200 game being a 202. Then at another bowling alley at night with 3 dollar games, I bowled a 1st game of 100 and a 3rd game of 123 but a very surprising but happy 161 which in a way seemed kind of easy for me too. And 12th shot of 10th frame on second game and ending 1st shot of 1 frame on 3rd game I took down 2 very challenging spares. So I hope I'm ready to go for the second night of my new league tonight. Wish me luck. :-)
